Single Truck Trolley Snow Sweeper Pedestal Kit

Brass Kit: This is a copy of a McGuire-Cummings car (builder) sweeper pedestal. These single truck sweepers were built at the turn of the 20th century by Brill, McGuire-Cummings and others. They were a popular plow during winter storms to keep the city street railways clear of snow. The short plows were used to clear off the passenger platforms, to wing the snow back enough for more accumulation of snow. Most single truck sweepers reside at Museums; Brooks Ore, Seashore Trolley Museum, Warehouse Point, Rockhill Trolley Museum, Penn. Trolley Museum and many others. The kit comes with all the instructions, 4 pedestals, plow pivot mounts, pedestal separator bars, journal boxes, journal box lids, journal bearings, motor mount cross bars and includes plans for sweeper body only. Kit does not come with motors, wheels sets, brooms or plow.
