Crouse-Hinds “Golden Glow”
Streetcar Headlight
White Metal Kit: This model is a white metal casting of the
Crouse-Hinds Company headlight. It comes with a lens and a
polarity sensitive LED that has a “Golden Glow”
effect to it plus a piece of shrink tubing. This is a typical
headlamp assembly used by streetcars all across the country.
Although there were and are other types, this is a common
style. Not all of them had a “Golden Glow”
reflector, some had a plain pie pan dish that was painted
silver or perhaps a higher grade line would have had it plated
for better reflection of the lamp.

Western Railway Museum in Fairfield, California.
